For various reasons, I grew up as a kid thinking that real men didn’t design clothes… and those that did were super feminine or gay (in the worst/offensive sense of the word). I’m happy to say that I’ve put that story to rest and am now a man that designs clothes :)

Part of my creative process the past few months has been to spend at least 30 minutes per day “creating”. Not limited to painting.

So on many days since November I’ve been daydreaming this jacket design, putting together Pinterest boards, sketching, driving around Miami looking for someone to sew it for me, and going to fabric stores. What an amazing adventure to get to know deeper cuts of Miami… and to let this creation emerge out of me.

Model is 6’1” and wears a size “custom tailored”.
