Aspen Groves
A couple years ago, someone asked me if I had any black and white pieces. At first my colorful ego balked at the question. Why would I want to create something in black and white when there are colors like blue available?
Once I calmed down, I decided to try making something in black and white.
3 years later, here I am re-visiting that method, and loving it.
Fun fact about this piece: the left piece here is black paint on a white canvas, while the right piece is white paint on a black canvas. Can you see the difference?
I see lots of things in this style of painting, but I won’t tell you what I see. To tell you would be robbing you of your own experience to see things in this mysterious composition. So… what do you see?
