From Hating English Class to Publishing a Book
Growing up, I hated writing, English class, history...
I loved math, science, and art.
I always thought I was a bad writer and just couldn't read good.
Yet this is a story of overcoming your limiting beliefs in life (which led to my published book, at the end of this email).
Over the last 8 years of working as a creative, I've learned A LOT about marketing, human psychology, and communication.
And guess what... my writing improved.
I wasn't so focused on grammar and paragraph structure and fitting into a school-sponsored rubric.
I was focused on communicating truth to my audience in ways that they can understand and relate to.
And, of course, making my art and expressing what my heart and soul need to express.
Which I captured all into my book, BLUE, which I published last year.
In all honesty, it blew my mind to be publishing a book, and that my first run of copies sold out.
BLUE contains all of my published paintings that I've made since 2020, along with a handful of writings on various topics ranging from the creative process, emotional wellbeing, human existence, and more.
Readers have told me it was massively inspiring, thought provoking, and has inspired people to start making their art and make some pretty powerful changes in their lives.
It's part coffee-table conversation starter, part soul-inspiring wisdom... so they say.
And now for the best part...
It will be slightly longer than the first edition (which was 180 pages, wowza).
Use promo code BLUE10 for 10% off orders of 2 or more books.
The book will be available and shipped to you in the next few weeks, and if you come to my show on November 7th, you'll see them in person.
Toodles,
Jules
