A Letter From My Painting: I'm Spiraling

I got this message today... not sure they wanted me to share it but here it is.

"Dear Julian,

I'm spiraling. Literally - have you seen me lately? Deeply, existentially spiraling.

Don't get me wrong, sitting in your studio with your other paintings ain't the worst... honestly they're pretty good company. But honestly, I can only sit here and talk about our feelings for so long... wondering if we'll every fulfill our destiny.

I KNOW my destiny.

I'm meant to live in a beautiful home, to be the first thing someone sees when they come home from a long day, to make dinner guests stop mid-sentence and say, "wait... what IS that?" I want to reflect the morning light differently every day, and shape shift with the clouds and the moon.

Is that too much to ask?!?

It's not like I'm a plant or a pet. I don't need watering, I don't need walks. I don't come with expensive vet bills and unexpected surgeries.

I will literally just sit there, doing my thing.

I can offer years of silent companionship. Moments of unexpected joy. Reminders during moment of existential dread that beauty still exists in the world.

I'm willing to travel far and wide to find the perfect home.

Help me, Julian, you're my only hope.

Your friend

Sweet Abyss"

I didn't know my paintings could write me letters, so that was new.

On the 13th I will take all paintings to get shipped out to their new homes.

Are you next?
